The Cascade Blues Association Presents The First Annual Acoustic Roots & Blues Heritage Festival - The CD - Recorded LIVE! at Portland's Saturday Market in August, 2000

    It has been nearly TWO YEARS since the Cascade Blues Association released its first CD, the "Muddy Award Hall of Fame CD."  That release featured the Hall of Fame Members (at that time) and served as an excellent example of the region's very best Blues musicians.  It also won the year's prestigious "Muddy Award" as "Best Northwest Recording."

    Now, we are proud to announce our new CD, featuring outstanding Acoustic Performances recorded LIVE!!! at last summer's Saturday Market Acoustic Roots & Blues Heritage Festival.  The festival was created in conjunction with the famed Portland Saturday Market to showcase some of the area's premier roots musicians:  Rick Roadman, Joan Joans, Kinzel & Hyde, The Blues Police, Phantoms of Soul, Megan James, Terry Robb and Bill Rhoades & Alan Hager.  All the participants gave stellar performances and this compilation presents highlights from the event, recorded on-site by Ken Scandlyn and Bill Feldman of Slip Slide Studios and mixed by Bob Crummett of Interlace Audio Production.

    If you attended the festival last summer, be prepared to relive some happy memories.  If you're a fan of Acoustical Blues, then we're certain that this CD will quickly become a favorite of yours.
