The Cascade Blues Association is in existence to support, promote, and preserve the Blues by bringing together a group of people with a common bond, a love of Blues music.
The Cascade Blues Association is a non-profit organization [501 (c) (3)]. It exists because of the hard work of volunteers! These dedicated volunteers do it simply because they love Blues music and want to see it perpetuated as an "art form".
The membership consists of musicians, promoters and, most of all, a variety of individuals from inside and outside the music industry, all with that common interest, the Blues! The CBA is the "Ambassador Of The Blues" all year long! It has built a strong association during its existence, which is now completing its 13th year at the end of November. The organization has expanded to over 1,000 members. That makes it one of the largest Blues organizations in the country, if not the world! If you're interested in becoming a member of The Cascade Blues Association you can contact us at PO Box 14493, Portland, Oregon 97293-0493 or call (503) 223-1850.
The music recorded on this CD project reflects the passion, the attitude and the talent that each one of these artists found within themselves to become a CBA Muddy Hall of Fame winner. Some of the people who volunteered their time and talents for this project are Jackson Lee, Susan Stewart, Rick Hall, Terri Currier, Bill McNally & the CBA Board of Directors. These people understand unselfishly what it takes to be true to the music and they just do it!!!
Special thanks to Terri Robb and Dead Aunt Thelma's Studio for excellent sound engineering, and my wife Susan for her support and understanding.
Sincerely,
Ken Johnson
