Founded in 1986 by a handful of music enthusiasts, the Cascade Blues Association has grown into one of the largest and most viable Blues societies in the country. Recognized as ‘the Ambassador of the Blues’ for the Greater Portland Area, the CBA is dedicated to supporting, promoting and preserving the Blues and Blues-related music. The organization endorses musicians and venues on a national, regional and, most importantly, local level, with a strong emphasis on education aimed toward the advancement of the blues for future generations.
