The J2M Youth Showcase Challenge is being held on Sunday, September 21, 6:00-9:00pm at HōKŪ Events on Madison, 1125 SE Madison St, Portland, OR 97214. The Deadline for completing your entry is Friday, September 19th at midnight!
We’re looking for solo acts, duos, and full bands to compete in the Cascade Blues Association’s 2025 Journey to Memphis Youth Showcase Challenge.
It’s your time to shine! Perform your best 20 minute set!
This event decides who will represent the Pacific Northwest at the International Blues Challenge Youth Showcase in Memphis, Tennessee, in January 2026.
⚠️ Important eligibility note: Every member must be under 21 on January 16, 2026. If one member is 21 or older, the act is not eligible for the Youth category.
The act that wins on September 21 gets to perform on legendary Beale Street during the International Blues Challenge (IBC) Youth Showcase —an epic gathering of blues musicians from around the world. The Youth Showcase happens Friday, January 16, 2026 and it’s not a competition—no judging, no pressure. Just you, a 30-minute set, and an audience full of fellow musicians, fans, and industry insiders.

At least one member per act must be a member a CBA Youth Membership is $15

Travel to & Lodging in Memphis: Acts are responsible for their own costs, but the CBA will help support and promote youth-led fundraisers!
