This Book Club is a virtual gathering of readers and listeners who want to get to know the artists, the culture, the roots, and the stories behind the sound.
Whether you’ve followed the blues for decades or you’re just beginning to explore, you’re welcome here.
Why a Blues Book Club? Because understanding the blues deepens how we hear it. When you learn about the lives and times behind the music, the songs hit differently. The lyrics carry more weight. The guitar tells a fuller story. This is about honoring the roots and celebrating the legacy.
Interested in Helping Lead?
We are currently seeking one or more volunteers to help launch and guide this virtual book club. This could include:
- Selecting books
- Coordinating online or in person meeting dates
- Facilitating discussion
- Helping shape the tone and direction of the group
