We’re a 100% volunteer-run organization – powered by people like you. Check out some of the ways you can jump in:
NO WHETHER YOU’VE GOT 10 MINUTES OR 10 HOURS WE’D LOVE TO FIND THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU
HERE ARE SOME OF THE WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Are you on Facebook, TikTok or Instagram regularly? We need someone to post, share, hype up events, and help keep our feed fresh. No fancy software, just a good eye and an online voice people want to follow.
Wanna write about music, interview artists, or help shape the stories we tell? We need writers, proofreaders, and people who can help us get our newsletter out the door on time and keep our messaging fresh and exciting.
If you’re interested in helping procure donations, we’ve got you covered with resources — sample letters, guidance, and info on businesses that have supported us in the past. Can you ask a business to support local music by donating a gift card or goodies for a gift basket? Know someone who might sponsor or underwrite an event? Are you up for gather food and beverage donations for our big Member Appreciation Picnic coming up in September? Let us know and we’ll get you started.
We always need friendly folks to work the CBA table or booth at events and festivals — no pressure, just good vibes and helping others get to know the CBA – you get to do what you love most, listen to great live music with free entry at events such as the Peninsula Blues Festival, Wilsonville @ Charbonneau Festival of Music, Waldport Beach, Bike & Blues Festival, Winter Music Festival and more.
Tell us! We love creative thinkers and new ideas — if there’s a way you want to help that we haven’t thought of, we want to hear it, we can’t wait to hear it!
How about running a committee, joining the board, helping with elections, or planning events like the Summer Picnic, Holiday Party, Muddy Awards or Journey to Memphis. However You Can Help, whether you’ve got a few minutes every week, a few hours a month, or you’re ready to dive in to lead a project, we’ll find a way to make use of your time, talents, skills, and energy.
The Cascade Blues Association would like to acknowledge an exceptionally generous gift from the estate of the late CBA member William Schauer. Bill’s unselfish support for the CBA will help us to continue our promotion of the blues and all of our marvelous local musicians and artists for many years to come. The CBA and its members offer our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Bill and his family for their kind and charitable donation.
