Every year, something electric happens in our community.
Musicians step forward. Audiences lean in. And the blues—raw, honest, and alive—takes center stage.
The Cascade Blues Association’s Journey to Memphis is officially kicking off in May and whether you’re a performer or a fan, this is your invitation to be part of it.

Our first live competition lands at Mekong Bistro, where the room will be full, the energy will be high, and the talent? Off the charts. Expect a day that feels less like a contest and more like a celebration of everything the blues is meant to be.

Why It Matters
The Journey to Memphis isn’t just a competition. It’s a launchpad.
Winners go on to represent our region at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, standing alongside some of the best blues musicians from around the world. Over the years, our local artists have made us proud, turning heads, and carrying the spirit of our blues community all the way to Beale Street.
